Learn about the women that shaped the life of American architect Frank Lloyd Wright—from his mother, to the wife of six of his children, to his mistress, to the woman who helped resurrect his career. Join Frank Lloyd Wright expert Kim Bixler in a presentation about the many women in Wright’s life. This event is set to original music and videos. (Kim is currently attending NYU Tisch’s Musical Theatre Graduate Writing Program).
Kim Bixler’s family owned Frank Lloyd Wright’s 1908 Edward E. Boynton House in Rochester, New York, from 1977 to 1994. Kim Bixler published her latest book Growing Up in a Frank Lloyd Wright House, is featured in the PBS documentary Frank Lloyd Wright’s Boynton House: The Next Hundred Years and has appeared on NPR’s Here & Now. Kim has written and edited five other books and currently lives with her family in Los Angeles, CA. She graduated from Cornell University in 1991.
